Birmingham Safeguarding Children Partnership replacing the Local Safeguarding Children Board was launched on the 1st April 2019. The Children and Social Work Act 2017 defines three 'Safeguarding Partners' to oversee and lead the arrangement to safeguarding and promote the welfare of children. In Birmingham, the Local Authority, Birmingham and Solihull Clinical Commissioning Group and West Midlands Police will share equal responsibility for developing and leading the new partnership arrangements.
