It’s been a very busy few months at the partnership, and we are excited to share our latest updates with you. This edition will focus on learning from recently published Local Child Safeguarding Practice Reviews, our new Neglect e-Learning training, and reflect on the outcome of April’s Safeguarding Leaders’ Assembly. We will also bid farewell to our Independent Chair, Penny Thompson CBE, who is leaving at the end of September, so we will reflect on her legacy and consider what comes next for the partnership after her departure.

Additionally, our Practitioner Spotlight interview features Deborah O’Neil from Change, Grow, Live (Drug and Alcohol Services) who takes us through her role, responsibilities, and what safeguarding means to her.

We hope you enjoy the newsletter. If you have any content suggestions for future editions, please don’t hesitate to contact Katherine Adams (BSCP Communications Officer).
