Welcome to the first edition of our quarterly Birmingham Safeguarding Children Partnership (BSCP) newsletter! This edition will focus on tackling neglect in Birmingham, details of our upcoming Practitioners’ Conference, a feature from our Independent Chair, Penny Thompson CBE, and our Practitioner Spotlight feature – focusing on Dr Yasmin Husain, a Named GP for the NHS Birmingham and Solihull ICB Safeguarding Team.

Who are we?

At BSCP, we oversee how organisations work together to safeguard and promote the wellbeing of children and young people in Birmingham. Our three safeguarding partners are West Midlands Police, NHS Birmingham and Solihull Integrated Care Board, and Birmingham City Council, working in close collaboration with Birmingham Children’s Trust.
