West Midlands MASA Network

Birmingham Safeguarding Children Partnership

The primary aim of the West Midlands MASA Network is to support the fourteen Local Child Safeguarding Partnerships across the region to meet their statutory obligations, as defined in Working Together to Safeguard Children 2023. The Network is co-chaired by a Safeguarding Children Partnership Business Manager and an Independent Scrutineer.

The Network supports and promotes regional collaboration on safeguarding to improve outcomes for children, young people, and families. It provides guidance to Regional Lead Safeguarding Partners, develops an annual Work Programme on shared priorities, and shares best practices. The Network also collaborates on cross-border initiatives, fosters regional partnerships with the National Panel, and addresses regional and national issues through appropriate consultations.
