Following consultation with EmpowerU — Birmingham Children’s Trust’s specialist safeguarding hub supporting vulnerable children at risk of, or currently being exploited by, criminal gangs — we’ve developed an awareness poster highlighting the key signs of child exploitation.
According to The Children’s Society, an estimated 46,000 children are involved in gangs, and 84% of parents express concern about county lines activity in their communities.
Whether you’re a professional, a parent, or a member of the public, we all have a role to play. By understanding the warning signs and knowing how to report concerns, we can help protect children from harm.
We’re calling on organisations to print and display the poster in visible areas. If you’re unable to print it yourself, get in touch.
