Private Fostering Awareness Day – Wednesday 6th November

Date: Friday, 01st Nov 2024 | Category: Uncategorised

Following the success of the first awareness day last year, Coram BAAF is hosting another Private Fostering Awareness Day on Wednesday 6th November 2024.

When a child is being cared for by someone other than a close relative for more than 28 days, that constitutes a private fostering arrangement. In Birmingham, Birmingham’s Children’s Trust need to be made aware of any private fostering arrangements so they are able to support the child and their carer(s).

Coram BAAF are hosting a free, open-access virtual Breakfast Briefing for professionals: ‘An introduction to private fostering’ on Private Fostering Awareness Day from 9am – 9.55am. You’ll learn key information about private fostering, the responsibilities of childcare professionals, and why it’s so important for professionals to come together to raise awareness of privately fostered children.

Book your place on the Breakfast Briefing
