Wellbeing Resources for Families

Date: Tuesday, 27th Jun 2023 | Category: Uncategorised

This week (26 June – 2 July) is World Wellbeing Week, which celebrates the many different aspects of wellbeing, including physical, mental and emotional health.

As wellbeing means something different to everyone, there is lots of advice out there to help you have those conversations with your child. We’ve complied a list of organisations which offer free resources for families to help you work through issues together.

  • Place2Be have provided mental health services in schools for almost 30 years. They help schools understand and identify mental health problems, enable children and young people to focus on learning and give them tools to cope with challenges throughout their lives.
  • YoungMinds provide young people with tools to look after their mental health. They also offer advice and resources for parents and professionals to help support young people they care for.
  • Mental Health Foundation works towards good mental health for all, through research, projects and public information that empowers people to look after their mental health.

The NSPCC has step-by-step instructions on how to make a Wellbeing Box with your child, helping to create a safe space for children to speak about what makes them feel safe.
